Before we began using meetup.com for organizing our upcoming meetings we used this wiki instead. For a history of these old meetings, or minutes from our formal member meetings, see Sub pages.

How to set up a meeting (using meetup)

  1. Find some available place and time
    • If Humla, reserve time in the booking calendar.
    • If Noworking, make sure Marcus (aka imarcusthis) is available to let us in. He can be found on IRC or the mailing list.
  2. Create a meetup page
    • Go to Makers' meetup group. You must be a member of the meetup group to do this step.
    • Sign up or log in, and at the group's "home" page you must click "Schedule a new meetup" (all members can schedule new meetups).
    • Fill in all the required details (name of event, where, when, any special agenda items, etc).
  3. Announce it on the mailing list
    • Make sure to include the URL to the meetup page you just created.
